There once was someone who froze up
At a voice raised or a man struck
He lived in his head
And wrote on his bed
And was diagnosed as chronically moonstruck
There once was a forest Tasmanian
Loud with insects subterranean
And the calls of the birds
Rang out in place of words
The silence there now is just alien.
There once was a system unequal
Where property had rights much like people,
And just like with love or
Ending processing offshore
There was no time for matters cerebral
There once was a medic impudent
In his last days as a student
Addicted to reading
And hooked on daydreaming
He expulsed limerickal pollutant
Mid-twenties lost cause.
Trapped in a shrinking cube.
Bounded on the whimsy on the left and analysis on the right.
Bounded by mathematics behind me and medicine in front of me.
Bounded by words above me and raw logic below.
Will be satisfied when I have a fairytale romance, literally save the entire world, and write the perfect koan.
